HanzhonkovFilm is an interesting story of cinematography and the emergence of cartoons, the era of which we recreated.
Aleksandr Hanzhonkov
Aleksandr Hanzhonkov was born in the small ukrainian village of Hanzhonkove(now - Nizhnyaya Krynka) near Makiivka, Donetsk region, into a noble family of Don Cossacks. In 1905 he began to engage in the film industry.

In the spring of 1906 he established the Hanzhonkov Trading House, the purpose of which was to rent foreign films and create domestic ones. First engaged in documentaries, and later in feature films.

In 1912, the company released the world's first cartoon "Beautiful Lucanida, or the War of the Mustache with Stags".

HanzhonkovFilm is a Ukrainian animation studio founded in 2009. The studio is named after the outstanding filmmaker Aleksandr Hanzhonkov.
"Eskimoska" is a Ukrainian animated TV series about the adventures of an Eskimoska and her friends. It was first released in Ukraine on November 12, 2012
“Firecrosser” (Ukrainian: Той, хто пройшов крізь вогонь) is a 2011 Ukrainian drama film directed by Mykhailo Illienko. The film was selected as the Ukrainian entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards, but it did not make the final shortlist. Released in Ukraine on February 2, 2012. The first project of the studio was to create special effects for the movie "Firecrosser”
"Maxym Osa" will be a future Ukrainian historical detective film based on Igor Baranko's comic book "Maxym Osa". It should become the first film adaptation of a comic book in the history of Ukrainian cinema.
